Registered Nurse II/III - MC/CHC - L&D Birthing Center

Position Registered Nurse for the L & D Birthing Center at Riverside University Health System in Moreno Valley. Overview The nurse performs full‑range professional duties in labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care with minimum supervision. Responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal status, administering treatments, assisting deliveries, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient‑centered care. Responsibilities Provide nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum. Monitor maternal and fetal status and administer appropriate treatments. Assist with deliveries and respond to emergencies. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, patient‑centered care. Participate in quality assurance, policy and procedure review, in‑service education, staff development, and preceptorship activities. Maintain accurate nursing records and chart patient care. Provide orientation and training to new staff, residents, and medical students. Coordinate patient care during hospitalization to maintain quality and fiscal responsibility. Assist physicians with medical examinations, diagnostic tests and surgical procedures as required. Qualifications Valid Registered Nurse license in California. Minimum one year of acute‑care nursing experience (labor and delivery/postpartum preferred). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification. Work Schedule 3 shifts / 12 hours, night shift, every other weekend. Salary Registered Nurse II – $45.75 – $70.81 per hour. Registered Nurse III – $53.17 – $80.24 per hour. Evening shift differential (6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.): $2.50 per hour. Night shift differential (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.): $5.00 per hour. Location & Culture RUHS Medical Center is a 439‑bed Level I Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and houses the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
