Role Description Under minimal supervision, the Sheet MetalFabrication Technician III performs advanced fabrication and assembly ofcomplex sheet metal components. This role serves as a technical expert,ensuring high-quality standards and supporting team development. Essential Job Functions Fabricate complex sheet metal parts andassemblies requiring advanced forming, fitting, and precision. Interpret complex engineering drawings andspecifications to ensure compliance with design intent. Perform advanced layout, forming, andassembly operations with tight tolerances. Troubleshoot fabrication issues andimplement corrective actions. Ensure all work meets FAA regulations, RSQMstandards, and customer expectations. Inspect and verify work for quality anddimensional accuracy. Provide guidance and technical support tolower-level technicians. Support process improvements related tofabrication efficiency and quality. Coordinate with engineering and leadershipon technical challenges. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications, Education andExperience High School Diploma or GED required. Tradeschool preferred. 5+ years of sheet metal fabricationexperience, preferably in aviation or high-precision manufacturing. Demonstrated expertise in complexfabrication and assembly. Required Skills and Abilities Advanced knowledge of fabricationtechniques, tooling, and materials. Strong understanding of FAA/RSQMrequirements. Advanced blueprint reading andinterpretation skills. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solvingcapabilities. Ability to mentor and develop juniortechnicians. Work Environment This position is based in an aircraft hangarenvironment and may involve: Exposure to varying temperatures and weatherconditions Loud noise levels Use of heavy machinery and specialized tools Potential contact with chemicals orhazardous materials Working in confined aircraft interior spaces Why join us?
