Senior Product Manager – Chicago, IL Job Summary Lead and manage enterprise data management and governance initiatives for PayPal’s global business units. Responsibilities Capture documentation and analysis of data flows and traceability from end-to-end to determine enterprise data impacts. Support business units in articulating and documenting requirements and data mappings for enterprise data management processes and capabilities. Effectively communicate success criteria to data management development and testing teams. Lead evaluation, selection, implementation, and support of new data management and governance technologies to support data stewardship, data quality, metadata management, data architecture, data modeling, and data integration efforts. Define and promote new enterprise data management practices. Monitor and track business units’ progress toward data management and governance Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Support all activities associated with Global Data Governance forums. Work with business and technical data stewards and key stakeholders to understand business impacts, user requirements, and feasibility of data management solutions. Ensure all data management and governance activities within the Business Unit align with overall business objectives and include Data Governance in project implementation. Support integration of PayPal’s data governance into existing processes: PDLC, SDLC, Architecture Review and Risk Control Processes. Provide end‑to‑end data governance coverage across business functions to achieve adoption of data governance processes, standards, and practices. Own alignment of business units’ data stewardship function with the enterprise data management program to facilitate data ownership and accountability. Implement data governance procedures, processes, artifacts, documents, and training materials to operate the Data Stewardship Program. Build positive and influential relationships across organizations through strong collaboration, proactive planning, and decisive leadership. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Systems Analysis, Engineering, or a closely related field. Five years of relevant experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Special Skill Requirements Experience with SQL query authoring and working with a variety of databases (minimum 5 years). Certified with Cloud Services (AWS or GCP). Experience with Master Data Management (Customer & Product) (minimum 3 years). Experience with Data Risk Management and compliance (CCPA & GDPR) (minimum 3 years). Experience with Sensitive Data Handling Requirements (Legal & Regulatory) (minimum 5 years). Experience with data management and data governance tools such as Collibra or similar catalog tools. Experience with payments or banking platforms and products. Compensation The base pay for this role in Chicago, IL ranges from $142,210 to $221,500 per annum, based on experience and expertise.
