Benefits 401(k) Employee discounts Health insurance Paid time off About the Role Three Little Bears Day Care LLC is looking for a passionate and nurturing Preschool Head Teacher to lead our early childhood classroom in Bridgeport, CT. This is an exciting opportunity to shape young minds during their most formative years while leading a dedicated team of educators in a warm, caring environment. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate, developmentally-driven curriculum for preschool-aged children Lead and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides to maintain a high-quality learning environment Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom atmosphere that supports social-emotional development Conduct ongoing child observations and assessments to track developmental milestones Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and classroom activities Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare safety standards Collaborate with center leadership to support program goals and continuous improvement Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in a preschool or early childhood classroom setting Knowledge of CT Office of Early Childhood (OEC) licensing requirements is a plus Strong classroom management and child guidance skills Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and staff Patient, creative, and passionate about early childhood development About Us Three Little Bears Day Care LLC is a beloved childcare provider in the Bridgeport, CT community, dedicated to creating a safe, loving, and enriching environment where children can learn and grow.
