Overview
We are seeking a Customer focused and organized professional to support daily operations at a busy automotive repair and restoration shop. In this role, you will serve as a key point of customer contact, help coordinate repair and restoration workflows, and ensure a smooth, positive experience from initial estimate through final delivery.
Shop Workflow & Operations
- Job Assignment: Reviewing incoming repair orders & assigning them to appropriate
- technicians/detailers based on skill & availability
- Scheduling: Setting turnaround times, managing appointments, and coordinating sublet vehicle pickup & delivery
- Quality Assurance: Confirm technicians conducted final road-test to minimize re-dos or “comebacks”
- Yard & Shop Checks: Walk the floor daily to ensure safety & cleanliness standards are being upheld
Financial & Inventory Mgmt
- Estimating & Invoicing: Converting intake inspections into repair orders and verifying the accuracy of billing and labor hours. Ensure Tekmetric files are current
- Parts Procurement: Ordering spare parts, managing inventory levels, and returning defective or unused parts to vendors
- Profitability: Order parts online or locally to ensure a cost-effective continuation of workflow
Customer Relations & Communication
- Customer Liaison: Addressing escalated complaints, explaining complex repairs, interacting with warranty companies on behalf of customers, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Vendor Management: Communicating with suppliers, fleet managers, or outside sales teams to resolve issues.
Administration & Compliance
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate service histories, warranty paperwork, and equipment downtime reports
