• Tltravail et/ou ventuelle relocalisation court terme Amsterdam (en fonction des besoins de l'entreprise) pendant les 4-6 premiers mois, suivie d'une relocalisation permanente Paris.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly competent Operations Associate to join the European operations team and support Flexport's expansion in France. You will spend the first 4 to 6 months integrated into our EMEA headquarters in Amsterdam to master Flexport's operational processes, systems, and software, while contributing to our growth in France through impeccable operational quality and top-notch customer service.

The role of the operations team is essential to fulfill Flexport's mission: to facilitate global trade for all. At the heart of our clients' satisfaction and partner management, it works closely with our technology teams to drive innovation through process automation. As part of our ambition to develop a global network, our operational teams are strategically distributed around the world to manage and execute the logistics services and products we offer to our clients and partners.

Flexport Global Operations sets the bar high by relying on data to drive our clients' supply chains and identify continuous improvement opportunities in planning, responsiveness, and global execution.

As an Operations Associate, you will be responsible for setting up and executing the end-to-end movement of shipments within a regional network. On a daily basis, you will coordinate multimodal operations in your region. This role aims to deliver a first-class customer experience by ensuring the quality and timeliness of performance. You Will:

• Be on the "front line" to ensure the highest level of Flexport quality: shipments move on time and exceptions are handled appropriately.
• Support your team in medium to high-importance escalation requests, high-complexity movements, delicate communication, and other tactical touchpoints.
• Help the manager in supervising the team to improve and deliver excellent performance, especially in terms of data quality and punctuality of shipment milestones; while ensuring compliance with internal KPIs and SLAs.
• Follow standard operating procedures ("SOP") and participate in creating a scalable operational infrastructure and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity for your clients.
• Continuously seek improvement opportunities and implement necessary actions.
• Represent Flexport's value proposition personally by leading the commercial implementation and execution of shipments for new clients and opportunities.
• Act as the primary contact for internal and external escalations, ensuring quick resolution of client issues and smooth operations at origin and destination, escalating issues as needed.
• Always act in the best interest of the company by avoiding financial losses ("leakages") and adopting a cost-conscious behavior.

Overall, your team will:

• Coordinate logistics operations seamlessly with internal and external partners such as shipping lines, intermodal and local transport providers, customs, trade lane management, warehousing, transshipment, and road transport.
• Execute the end-to-end movement of freight shipments within a regional network (imports and exports), including intermodal movements.
• Support partner-managed shipments while fostering their autonomy (as per the region concerned).

You Have:

• A successful BTS in transport management and associated logistics (GTLA) or a BA/BS degree in logistics, supply chain, commerce, or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience as an international transit agent, logistics/supply chain, and/or maritime freight operations in France. Experience in multimodal operations is a plus.
• Knowledge and understanding of port/local terminal software systems (e.g., SOGET's Ci5, MGI's AP+, CargoWise, etc.).
• Fluency in English and French (other European languages are a plus).
• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Efficient time management. Ability to prioritize and manage a large volume of tasks and commitments correctly.
• A practical, process-oriented approach with structured thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively implement feedback loops within the team, for a product or service.
• Teamwork and relationship building.
• A customer service-oriented mindset; you are obsessed with customer satisfaction and strive to investigate and resolve the client's problem.
• Continuous process design and optimization.
• Problem-solving: ability to establish consensus among interlocutors with divergent opinions.
• Adopt a "compliance first" approach to satisfy our regulators and convince them of the value of Flexport, as we operate in a highly regulated sector.
• Willingness to travel regularly and/or to a possible short-term relocation to Amsterdam (as per company needs) for the first 4 to 6 months, followed by a permanent relocation to Paris.
