Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Store Patrol in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: Our officers monitor and patrol assigned retail locations helping to create a welcoming environment for shoppers and this unarmed role you will complete routine patrols remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors team members and store leadership by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting relevant details and communicating with the appropriate contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor entry points parking areas receiving zones and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
- Monitor access to designated areas observe customer and employee activity for security-related concerns and report maintenance hazard and/or policy issues to site leadership.
- Support opening and closing routines assist with crowd and line management during busy periods and provide a visible presence that helps to promote an orderly shopping environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- A state county or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
