is currently seeking experienced and motivated Class A and B CDL drivers to become a part of our team. Our CDL drivers satisfy a critical role here at

H&K . This position places an emphasis on reliability and attentiveness, as maintaining both a truck log and the trucks themselves are daily responsibilities that come along with the position.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs all work adhering to DOT Regulations and H&K Safety policiesBe able to make timely deliveries to various locationsPrepares receipts for load pick upMaintains truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policyMaintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor/Dispatch

to receive delivery instructionsLoads and unloads truckPerforms daily pre and post trip inspection of vehicle, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.Tarps all loads when on public roadways at all timesTrims loads prior to tarping when necessaryOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institutionClass A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experienceClean driving recordCustomer Service and TeamworkStrong Verbal and written communication skillsAbility to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as neededAbility to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

3 years of commercial driving experienceStrong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experienceHazmat and Tanker EndorsementTWIC card preferred with CDL class AManual transmission experienceExperience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarriesMSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certificationsPhysical Demands
