As a mental health counselor, you will work remotely, offering teletherapy services to clients across Michigan. • Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments to evaluate clients’ histories related to substance abuse and mental health, establishing a thorough understanding of their needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address both addiction-related issues and underlying mental health challenges, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.

• Facilitate online individual and group therapy sessions through evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI), engaging clients in meaningful dialogue and self-discovery.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary telehealth team, which may include physicians, nurses, and case managers, in order to provide integrated care tailored to each client's unique situation.

• Educate and support clients’ families through virtual sessions, fostering understanding and involvement in the recovery process, which is vital for sustained success.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, utilizing digital tools for documentation and progress tracking.

This role is focused on serving diverse individuals experiencing challenges related to substance abuse and mental health. Our client population ranges from those in early recovery to individuals seeking long-term sobriety. You will play a critical role in facilitating their journey towards healing, with a specific focus on creating a safe and supportive virtual environment tailored to their unique recovery journeys.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, which may include Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Psychologist, or Master Social Worker - Clinical Specialty (MSW - Clinical).

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; a master’s or doctoral degree is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment.

• Familiarity with evidence-based practices to address both substance abuse and co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills, with the ability to build rapport and motivate clients toward positive change.

• At least two years of hands-on experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment setting.

• Demonstrated expertise in executing evidence-based therapeutic techniques remotely.

• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
