Job Summary:
A Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Burlington, Vermont. This assignment is for 13-16 weeks, with shifts scheduled overnight. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role involves float responsibilities to ICU and Intermediate Care Units (IMCU), caring for a diverse and critically ill patient population.

Job Details:

• Location: Burlington, Vermont
• Shift: Nights (12 hours)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0
• Certifications and Education Requirements: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification are required; NIHSS must be completed prior to start. CCRN certification is preferred.
• Experience Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, including large, teaching facility experience, with specific exposure to post-cardiac surgery, vascular, trauma-level 1, general surgery, or neurosurgery cases. Prior travel experience is mandatory.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable.
• Schedule: No block schedules; shifts from Monday to Sunday; bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, at least 2 years of relevant experience, certifications listed above, experience in a large teaching hospital setting, and EMR competency with EPIC.
• Additional Information: Candidates must explain all employment gaps exceeding 90 days and ensure complete work history details for submission. No block schedules are permitted; there is a requirement to work two out of four major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Years Day).
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Transportation: Reliable transportation, personal or rental vehicle, is strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible in the area.
