About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director, Global Medical Affairs Lead with a focus on oncology. The successful candidate will be tasked with the development and execution of the global medical affairs strategy for the oncology portfolio, ensuring that all activities are in line with the company's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. This pivotal role demands a leader with a strong background in oncology, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in medical affairs within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. Key responsibilities include leading and managing the global medical affairs team, strategic development and implementation of medical affairs plans, cross-functional collaboration, data sharing, providing medical expertise, and maintaining external relationships with key opinion leaders and industry organizations. Applicants for this role at the company should hold an MD, PhD, or PharmD with a minimum of 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including at least 5 years in medical affairs within oncology. The role requires a candidate with a proven ability to develop and implement successful medical affairs strategies, excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, and a strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards. The Executive Director will also be responsible for budget management and must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The position is remote and may require up to 20% travel. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with the ability to monitor and analyze industry trends and emerging scientific data to inform decision-making, and will be committed to the mission of improving patient outcomes.
