Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to speak, read and write English
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Available to work overtime when required.
• Must have and use own tools.

Critical Success Factors:

• The employee must maintain an excellent attendance record, which is defined as being at work all the time and on time.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations using algebra and trigonometry.
• Ability to understand detailed written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to solve various mechanical problems.

Responsibilities:

• Assists with assignments that range in complexity from simple machine repair to troubleshooting complex electrical/mechanical systems, and electronic systems.
• Ensure compliance with Federal/State/Local safety and environmental regulations.
• Analyze ways to reduce waste, manufacturing byproducts, and hazardous raw materials.
• Diagnose and resolve various maintenance issues.

• Competency Level to include all intermediate understanding of the processes and functions as they relate to the position as determined by the leadership team.

Effort/Physical Demands

• The employee is required to stand for long periods of time.
• The employee is required to use hand tools or twist fasteners repetitively for long periods of time.
• The employee is required to walk, reach stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, see, and hear.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
• While performing duties, the employee is regularly exposed to loud noises.
• While performing duties, the employee is regularly exposed to electrical hazards.
• The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
• Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

• Compliance with Occupational safety sections of Act.
• Must wear all designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Must report all accidents and near misses to your Supervisor

Working Conditions:

• 100% plant floor (PPE required)

Decision Making and Authority:

• No staff responsibility, however; the incumbent must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization in order to be able to impart technical/process knowledge on a basis consistent with the needs/experience of the party being addressed.

Back-up Duties:

• Perform other duties as required
