Only 10 minutes from Parkton, MD | 30 minutes north of Towson $1,000 SIGNING BONUS AFTER 120 DAYS Are you an experienced chef ready to take ownership of a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen? We're looking for a motivated Lead Chef / Kitchen Manager to join our growing team. Although we're advertising in Baltimore, our restaurant is conveniently located in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania , just minutes over the Maryland border, making for an easy commute. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys cooking, leading a team, creating new dishes, and maintaining high standards in every aspect of the kitchen. Responsibilities:
- Lead all daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant
- Create and develop weekly food specials and contribute to menu design
- Prepare high-quality food while maintaining consistency and presentation
- Train, coach, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff
- Maintain food quality, portion control, and kitchen efficiency
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and food cost management
- Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and operating to the highest sanitation standards
- Maintain all health department and food safety requirements
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Lead Chef, or Kitchen Manager
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with menu development and seasonal specials
- Ability to thrive in a busy, high-volume kitchen
- Knowledge of food costing and kitchen operations
- ServSafe Certification required
- Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to Shrewsbury, PA
- Full-time availability, including evenings and weekends as needed
