Direct Counsel is partnering with a respected law firm seeking an experienced  Trial Attorney to join its growing litigation team.

This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned litigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys taking ownership of cases, and is confident managing matters through all phases of litigation, including trial.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse litigation caseload from inception through resolution
• Develop case strategy and provide practical legal advice to clients
• Conduct and defend depositions, manage discovery, and oversee motion practice
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Prepare for and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials
• Conduct witness preparation and courtroom examinations
• Collaborate with Partners and support staff to deliver exceptional client service
• Maintain accurate case management and meet all litigation deadlines

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience , including significant trial preparation experience
• Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing
• Demonstrated experience handling matters through trial or serving in a first- or second-chair capacity
• Strong research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary ranging from $200,000 to $250,000 , commensurate with experience
