C4 Module Equipment Technician – Intel Contract Employee Intel New Mexico is seeking a dedicated equipment technician for the Wafer Packaging Manufacturing (WPM) C4 organization. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving semiconductor wafer processing equipment to support large‑scale AI computing and next‑generation technologies. Job Responsibilities Diagnose, dismantle, adjust, repair, install, and assemble manufacturing equipment using layout plans, blueprints, operating manuals, and technical documentation. Execute equipment setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance; coordinate with suppliers for service and repairs. Monitor, analyze, and interpret equipment and performance data to improve tool reliability and overall module performance. Document system failures, update equipment specifications, and create new specifications to support maintenance and performance. Collaborate with Module Engineering to execute experiments, configuration changes, and data collection activities per published procedures. Provide data analysis and experimental support to meet or improve availability and performance targets and prevent future excursions. During factory ramps, work with Module Engineering and construction teams to ensure tools are installed, converted, and qualified per design requirements. Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and procedural standards. Work Schedule and Physical Requirements Compressed work week: three consecutive 12‑hour shifts, followed by a four‑day work week every other week. Nightshift only: Shift 4 (nights frontend) or Shift 6 (nights backend) with alternating Saturday nights. Work in a cleanroom environment while wearing required PPE, including coveralls, hood, booties, safety glasses, gloves, and respirator as required. Lift up to 25 lbs up to five times per day; walk approximately 2‑4 miles per shift and stand or sit for extended periods (up to 9 hours). Climb ladders as required; work in proximity to chemicals while following all safety procedures. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Basic computer literacy, including use of email, web‑based systems, and common productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office). Minimum Qualifications One of the following must be met: BS STEM related to Semiconductor Manufacturing or Associate degree STEM related with 1+ years experience in equipment maintenance. High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance or a closely related technical field. High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years related hands‑on manufacturing experience, including military experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience maintaining semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Proficiency using hand tools, electrical meters, and calibration tools.
