Shipping Supervisor

They are committed to quality, innovation, and operational excellence and are seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to join their growing team. Position Summary Our client is seeking a hands-on Shipping Supervisor to lead daily shipping and logistics operations at their Hayward facility. This role is responsible for supervising the shipping team, ensuring accurate and on-time shipments, improving department performance, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. The ideal candidate has experience managing shipping personnel, conducting performance reviews, coaching employees, handling progressive discipline, and tracking shipping KPIs. Bilingual English/Spanish is required to effectively communicate with the current team. Key Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and develop Shipping & Packaging Clerks and the company driver. Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and manage progressive discipline. Schedule daily workloads and ensure on-time shipment performance. Coordinate domestic and international shipments using FedEx, UPS, and similar shipping systems. Monitor and improve shipping KPIs, including on-time delivery, shipping accuracy, productivity, and inventory accuracy. Plan delivery routes and support shipping, packaging, and receiving activities as needed. Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and ensure accurate shipping documentation. Promote a safe, organized, and continuous improvement-focused work environment. Qualifications Required 5+ years of shipping, logistics, or distribution experience in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of direct supervisory experience leading a shipping or warehouse team. Experience conducting employee performance reviews, coaching, and progressive discipline. Experience managing shipping KPIs and departmental performance. Experience with FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, or similar shipping software. Forklift experience and a valid driver's license. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Semiconductor or precision manufacturing experience. ERP or Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
