Job Summary As an integral member of the clinical team, you will perform patient care duties within the scope of your license, assist with treatments and procedures, and facilitate patient flow to optimize clinic operations and enhance patient experiences. You will also be responsible for administering immunizations, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating referrals. Key Responsibilities- Perform patient care tasks and carry out provider orders accurately and timely.
- Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring all necessary consents are obtained.
- Notify patients of test results as directed by providers.
- Document patient complaints, vital signs, and prepare patients for exams.
- Administer immunizations under provider supervision and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and manage referral processes.
- Stock exam rooms, manage sample medications, and ensure infection control practices.
- Collaborate with environmental services to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
- Participate in team activities and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an approved certified medical assistant program.
- Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.
- Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform independent judgment tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and fostering effective teamwork.
This position offers flexible scheduling with 10-hour shifts in a 40-hour workweek. The role is ideal for those seeking to contribute to a caring healthcare environment in a scenic and community-oriented region of the Pacific Northwest.
