Press and Stamping Machine Operator
6AM - 4:30PM Monday - Friday
Watertown, CT
Overview:
Operate and maintain press and stamping machines to produce high-quality metal components, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press and stamping machines, adjusting settings for optimal performance.
- Load raw materials and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating press and stamping machinery preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Standing for extended periods and handling materials up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to manufacturing environment with noise and machinery.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
