This role is ideal for a proven project manager who can lead complex civil projects from planning through delivery, while managing clients, budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as Project Manager for municipal and/or state civil infrastructure projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and qualityLead project delivery for transportation, roadway, drainage, utilities, water/wastewater, or similar public-sector projectsAct as the primary point of contact for municipal, county, and state agency clientsManage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, designers, and subconsultantsPrepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and change managementEnsure compliance with applicable state, municipal, and regulatory requirementsSupport proposal development, scope development, and fee negotiationsMentor junior staff and contribute to team development and best practicesEnsure projects are delivered in accordance with company standards, client expectations, and contractual obligationsWe invite applications from candidates with the following experience:Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum of 6 years of relevant civil engineering experienceAt least 2 years of prior experience serving as a Project ManagerDemonstrated experience delivering municipal and/or state-funded infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of public-sector project delivery processes, permitting, and regulatory requirementsProven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationshipsExcellent communication, leadership, and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtainExperience working directly with DOTs, counties, municipalities, or state agenciesFamiliarity with alternative delivery methods (e.g., design-build, CMAR)Experience supporting business development or proposal effortsBenefits & RewardAt Mott MacDonald, our employees have a stake and a voice in our business, providing them with a direct connection to our success through our personal and group performance bonuses.
