Endocrinology Opportunity

Join the team of two physicians and five ARNPs at MercyOne North Iowa Endocrinology, Weight Loss, & Diabetes. This outpatient-only opportunity offers a very busy instant practice with minimal call, phone only. The practice specializes in diabetes management, Type I & II diabetes, pump and sensor therapy, diabetes education, medical nutrition therapy, pump starts, full spectrum endocrinology, and weight loss. There is also a teaching opportunity for Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residents, ARNP/PA students, and medical students.

Salary: $286,989/year base salary

Bonus package: $100,000

Moving allowance: Up to $15,000

CME: $6,000/year

The Endocrinology clinic is located at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center-Mason City, a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital, named a Top 100 Hospital nationally, with easy access to all specialists, lab, radiology, pharmacy, and many other services.

The medical center employs over 300 providers, including primary care, neurosurgery, cardiology, general surgery, ortho surgery, vascular surgery, plastics, bariatric surgery, OBGYN, pulmonary/critical care, neurology, rheumatology, dermatology, infectious disease, palliative care, urology, ENT, GI, nephrology, endocrinology, psychiatry, and more.

The regional health system covers 14 counties, including MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, seven critical access hospitals, and 42 clinics in northern Iowa. The Endocrinology team provides services for approximately 260,000 people who call MercyOne North Iowa their trusted healthcare partner.

The Level III Trauma Center offers post-graduate education programs on site, including Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Programs, Cardiology Fellowship, and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship.

Candidates must be board certified within three years of becoming eligible and H1B & J1 waiver candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications: Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required. Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges. Above average communication skills. Ability to work with a team. Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
