Obstetrics & Gynecology Opportunity

Join MercyOne Obstetrics & Gynecology- Mason City in a busy practice with instant volume. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with very flexible scheduling and great work-life balance. Join a team of 1 full-time OBGYN, 1 FT, 1 PT, and 3 PRN OB Hospitalists and 4 ARNP's. Enjoy no call, no nights, no weekends, and no holidays. The practice sees ~500-600 births per year and offers teaching opportunities for FM Residents and Medical Residents. The newly remodeled clinic is located on the main campus, close to Labor & Delivery, Lab, Pharmacy, and Radiology with access to Perinatology consultation. The practice also has Da Vinci XI with designated OR block time and a Level II NICU staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Hospitalists and NICU Nurses with access to an on-site blood bank. In-house specialists are available for consultation and collaboration in patient care.

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is a regional health system covering 14 counties, including MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, 7 critical access hospitals, and 42 clinics in northern Iowa. The network service area is approximately 260,000. The medical center is a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital, named a Top 100 Hospital nationally, with easy access to all specialists, lab, radiology, pharmacy, and many other services. There are 300+ employed providers including primary care, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Plastics, Bariatric Surgery, OBGYN, Pulmonary/Critical Care, Neurology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Infectious Disease, Palliative Care, Urology, ENT, GI, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Psychiatry, and more. The center is a Level III Trauma Center offering post-graduate education programs on site, including Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Programs, and Cardiology Fellowship.

Highly compensated with excellent benefits! Up to a $250,000 bonus package (for full-time/pro-rated for part-time), $400,000 base salary + productivity incentives (pro-rated for part-time), 34 days of PTO when on base; 40 days PTO when on production (for full-time/pro-rated for part-time), annual CME- $6,000, health/dental/vision/life insurance, short term/long term disability, 403(b) retirement program with employer contribution and employer matching; Optional 457(b) deferred compensation plan, benefits start day 1 of employment, employer sponsored professional liability insurance & tail insurance coverage.

Qualifications: Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required. Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges. Above average communication skills. Ability to work with a team. Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
