Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler Job Description

This role focuses on assembling and testing a wide variety of electro-mechanical products in accordance with established production, safety, and quality standards. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, support material handling activities, and help ensure that customer requirements are consistently met.

• Comply with all safety procedures and policies at all times.
• Assemble electro-mechanical products with strict adherence to manufacturing due dates and quality standards.
• Meet established productivity standards and production goals.
• Pick, replenish, and transport components to designated workstations.
• Handle packaging materials and prepare products for shipment or further processing.
• Train and certify on forklift and tugger equipment and move material throughout the plant using forklift, tugger, or hand truck equipment.
• Refill Kanban bins and deliver them to the appropriate areas to support continuous production flow.
• Perform basic machine cleaning tasks to maintain equipment and work areas.
• Operate electrical lifts as needed to move materials or products.
• Handle and assemble a variety of different part numbers while maintaining accuracy.
• Inspect in-process and final assemblies to ensure they meet all quality requirements.
• Monitor and report part shortages in the production system to prevent delays.
• Rotate and cross-train across production areas and workstations, including material handling, as directed to meet business and customer needs.
• Participate in special projects and teams when required.
• Collaborate and work effectively with team members across the production environment.
• Keep work areas neat and clean, including managing trash, cardboard, and recycle bins on a daily basis.
• Scan and transfer materials in the system in a timely manner to support accurate inventory counts.
• Work overtime when required to meet production demands.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.

• Experience assembling products using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and follow basic blueprints or work instructions for assembly tasks.
• Capability to assemble drives and related electro-mechanical components by hand.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Basic computer skills to access parts information and pull required components.
• Ability to train and certify on forklift and tugger equipment and operate hand trucks.
• Strong attention to detail for in-process and final quality inspections.
• Ability to meet established productivity standards in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
• Reliability and commitment to maintaining consistent attendance, including overtime when needed.

This is a manufacturing and production environment with multiple structured shifts. Production schedules include: 1st shift typically 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 2nd shift 4:00 p.m. to midnight, and 3rd shift with overnight hours that may vary by area (for example, Sunday 8:30 p.m. to Monday 6:30 a.m, then Tuesday–Friday 12:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m, or Monday–Friday 12:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m). Some team members may work staggered shifts as communicated by the supervisor. For the listed assembly opening, the primary schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday work from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m may be available as voluntary overtime and can become mandatory if coverage is needed. The environment involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, tuggers, hand trucks, electrical lifts, and computer systems for inventory and parts access. Work is performed on the production floor and around machinery, with an emphasis on housekeeping to keep areas neat, clean, and safe.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LOVES PARK, IL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
