Senior-level AWS Production Support And Engineering

Senior-level AWS production support and engineering experience: 7+ years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure experience, including at least 5+ years supporting, troubleshooting, and improving production workloads on AWS. Must be able to independently diagnose complex issues, lead root-cause analysis, and drive reliable solutions across services such as ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, IAM, networking, logging, and monitoring. Preferred certification: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional. Associate-level certification may be considered with strong hands-on senior experience.

Advanced Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience: 5+ years designing, developing, debugging, and maintaining Terraform-based infrastructure for AWS at enterprise scale. Candidate should be comfortable building reusable modules, managing remote state, reviewing plans, troubleshooting drift, and applying change automation safely across non-production and production environments. Must have direct experience provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform, not only consuming prebuilt modules. Expected to contribute to module design, code reviews, standards, documentation, and reusable patterns for services such as EKS, ECS, EC2, S3, IAM, networking, and supporting AWS services. Strong understanding of Terraform execution plans, state management, resource dependencies, module versioning, policy controls, and promotion of infrastructure changes through controlled environments. Experience with automated validation, testing, and CI/CD integration for infrastructure changes is strongly preferred.

Container platform and Kubernetes/EKS depth: 5+ years of experience with containerized workloads and 3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes or Amazon EKS experience in production environments. Candidate should understand cluster operations, workload deployment, Helm, kubectl, autoscaling, networking, IAM/RBAC integration, troubleshooting, and platform reliability patterns. Manage and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests for repeatable application and platform deployments. Lead or significantly contribute to production deployments, upgrades, incident resolution, and operational support for Kubernetes/EKS-based platforms. Demonstrated experience deploying and troubleshooting distributed applications using Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, or EKS, including service discovery, ingress/load balancing, network policies, and logging/monitoring integration. Experience with GitOps or CI/CD-driven deployment patterns, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Harness, Argo CD, Flux, or similar tooling. Preferred certification: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, or equivalent hands-on container platform experience.

Senior ownership, leadership, and communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to engineers, product teams, and leadership. Candidate must be able to take ownership of ambiguous production issues, mentor junior/mid-level engineers, improve operational standards, and produce clear runbooks, design notes, and support documentation.

Operational maturity and production readiness: Strong candidates should demonstrate experience with observability, incident response, change management, security hardening, automation, disaster recovery awareness, and continuous improvement of platform reliability, scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
