Job Summary : Participate in the sheet metal installation process

Essential Functions:

1. Knowledge and ability to install all types of duct (square, rectangular, oval, and round)

2. Ability to follow provided layout and work in an independent manner

3. Understanding and knowledge of industry standard installation requirements such as hanger spacing, strap size, and flex duct length

4. Capability of working independently once given a task and material

5. Understand how to properly utilize hand and power tools to manipulate material in a manner required for installation

6. In possession of all their own hand and power tools

7. Ability to comfortably work at elevated levels in a safe manner

8. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Complete kit of hand and power tools to accomplish assigned work

Minimum Experience required: 5+ years commercial HVAC installation and Air Balance

Skills Required:

Proficiency with the use of hand and power tools

Certifications in the use of scissor/fork lifts, boom lifts, and fall protection equipment

Ability to layout duct runs and maintain required elevations and clearances

Proficiency in generating material lists and detailing to-be-fabricated ductwork

Effective communication skills.

Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to effectively represent National Air & Energy and communicate with customers and others at varying technical levels.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent bending, grasping, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling and sitting.

Ladder and scissor lift use

Frequent kneeling, squatting and climbing stairs.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.

The job is assigned to an indoor and outdoor environment with variable noise levels, uncontrolled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous substances.
