Location: Stockton, CA
Pay: $20/hour
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 7AM – 4 PM
Overview:
We’re looking for a driven and customer-focused Sales Counter Representative to join our team in Stockton. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in industrial sales, especially in the steel or air tank industry —who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You’ll be the face of our sales counter, helping customers find the right products, processing orders, and ensuring our inventory is well-stocked and organized.
What You’ll Do:

• Welcome and assist walk-in customers with expert guidance on welding and industrial products.
• Process sales transactions accurately, including order entry and payment handling.
• Recommend and upsell products based on customer needs and industry best practices.
• Provide technical support and product knowledge on welding materials, safety gear, tools, and machinery.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring high-demand items are readily available and attractively displayed.
• Handle special orders and follow up with customers regarding order status.
• Prepare and follow up on customer quotes.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure timely delivery and order fulfillment.
• Build lasting relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
• Assist with pricing, cataloging, and sourcing new products.
• Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in welding technology.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in industrial or counter sales, preferably in welding, air tank, or related industries .
• Solid understanding of welding or air tank supplies and equipment
• Strong communication skills—verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with sales and inventory management software.
• Positive, customer-first attitude.
• Ability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs.
