Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantHB Wealth is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role owns day-to-day accounting operations including areas listed in detail below. The ideal candidate is analytical and dependable, comfortable working at volume without losing accuracy, and interested in improving the processes they run.Job ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable & Corporate Spend (AI Assisted)Review and process vendor invoices in RampReview and code corporate card transactions; follow up on missing documentation and enforce policyManage vendor onboarding, W-9 collection, verification of payment details, and annual 1099 processMonth-End Close & ReconciliationsSupport the monthly close; prepare and post journal entriesPrepare bank, investment, and clearing account reconciliations for Controller review; research and resolve discrepanciesMaintain prepaid expense, fixed asset, and depreciation schedulesCalculate and post accruals; maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedulesRevenue Collection & Accounts ReceivableApply cash receipts and record advisory fee revenue to the general ledgerReconcile fees collected by the custodian to amounts billed; research and clear variancesMaintain accounts receivable aging and follow up on unpaid, short-paid, and direct-billed client feesRecords, Process & SupportMaintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentationSupport process improvement and automation initiativesAssist with audit requests by gathering schedules and supporting documentationPerform other accounting and finance-related duties and special projects as assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or universityCPA or progress toward CPA certification required3-5 years of relevant accounting experience with a strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and GAAPAdvanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial data across multiple systemsWillingness to adopt AI assisted processesHigh level of integrity, discretion, and professionalismExperience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processesExperience in public accounting (audit), wealth management, or a professional services environment preferredExperience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP/accounting system preferredHands-on experience with Ramp, Bill.com, Coupa, or a comparable AP and spend management platform preferredBenefitsCompetitive PTO/Holiday policy401k match1st day eligible benefits offering; medical, dental, vision, telemed, disability, and morePaid Maternity/Paternity leaveFun and welcoming office environment with monthly and quarterly eventsAbility to work remotely 40%Cell phone stipendEquity Participation PlanWhy HB is a great place to workEmployees enjoy the collaborative, inclusive, team environment where they feel challenged and supported.
