Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Orthopedics

SCHEDULE
Shift: 12-hour nights

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Length: 13 weeks

REQUIREMENTS
- Active RN license required; NC or Compact pending allowed for submission
- Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience, with required specialty experience in Orthopedics
- Epic experience preferred for first-time travelers
- Required certifications: BCLS (BLS), NIHSS
- Required clinical skills: IV starts, telemetry experience
- Preferred certifications: ACLS, charge nurse experience

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Orthopedics and Neuro Spine units
- Monitor and assess post-surgical patients, assisting with pain management and recovery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Educate patients and families on discharge planning and follow-up care

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- Must complete EKG testing prior to start for this specialty
- Required pre-start modules (approximately 8-10 hours) must be completed before starting assignment.
