Assist in designing, developing, and delivering solutions that meet complex balance sheet management needs while executing growth strategies for overall banking revenue. Responsibilities Develop and execute a business plan to profitably grow overall banking revenue while maintaining adherence to the Bank’s risk tolerance. Work collaboratively in the branch and regional teams, identifying and making referrals. Proactively develop internal and external networks for referral sources that generate prospects and create visibility in the marketplace. Provide superior service to an assigned portfolio of high and ultra‑high net‑worth clients with the objective of becoming their trusted advisor. Develop relationships with client’s professional advisors to create credit and tax‑favourable structures to meet family needs. Lead a deal team to meet client needs when acting as lead relationship manager. Manage the retention and expansion of client relationships through a contact strategy and an ongoing review of client banking needs. Make recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in‑depth understanding of the business/group. Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision‑making. Maintain knowledge of financial planning principles and incorporate them into planning strategies to help clients. Recommend business priorities, advise on resource requirements and develop a roadmap for strategic execution. Partner with the leadership team on strategic direction and complex line‑of‑business projects. Conduct independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues. Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Act as the prime subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders. Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment. Break down strategic problems, analyze data, and provide insights and recommendations. Monitor and track performance and address any issues. Develop and negotiate complex credit strategies, ensuring appropriate remuneration. Lead the execution of operational programs; assess and adapt as needed to ensure quality of execution. Provide day‑to‑day training and support to other employees, including guidance on credit‑related issues. Qualifications Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Meet the licensing and certification requirements for the team, branch, or jurisdiction where the mandate is being fulfilled. Credit qualifications and associated credit knowledge and skills according to the standards established within the credit qualification process, policies, and procedures. In‑depth knowledge of personal and commercial credit and non‑credit products. In‑depth sales and client service skills. In‑depth business development skills with a successful track record. Ability to lead in‑depth planning conversations. Expert relationship management skills. Ability to work independently, resolving complex or ambiguous issues or situations. Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge. Verbal and written communication skills – advanced / expert. Salary & Compensation Salary range: $122,400.00 – $228,000.00 (salaried). Salaries may vary based on location, role, skills, education, and qualifications, and may include a commission structure.
