Title: Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Greater Cincinnati, OH; 50% travel

Employment Type: Direct/Full-Time

Compensation: $110K - $130K + 5% RSUs & Bonus

\n

\n

We are partnering with a pioneering clean-technology innovator to recruit a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to drive the technical integrity of critical external production partners.

\n

In this pivotal role, you will act as the technical authority for high-precision machined components—including complex parts generated through additive manufacturing. You will establish the benchmark for supplier excellence, bridging the gap between design engineering expectations and scalable, repeatable shop-floor execution.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

\n

\n
• Drive supplier process capability through technical evaluations, process audits, and production readiness assessments across external machining partners.
\n
• Champion qualification and metrology alignment by owning first article inspections (AS9102/PPAP), defining key characteristics, and resolving measurement discrepancies between supplier setups and internal metrology systems.
\n
• Influence Design for Manufacturability (DFM) review and challenge drawing releases, datum schemes, geometric tolerances, and surface finish callouts.
\n
• Lead structured problem solving such as direct containment, root-cause investigations, and long-term corrective action plans (8D framework).
\n

Here’s what our ideal candidate has:

\n

\n
• 5+ years in supplier quality or manufacturing engineering with direct ownership of close-tolerance machined hardware and special processes.
\n
• Fluency in GD&T, ASME Y14.5, tolerance stack-ups, and metrology.
\n
• Experience evaluating tight-tolerance sealing surfaces, rotating equipment, or thin-wall/distortion-prone parts.
\n
• Success executing AS9102 FAIs, PPAP documentation, and process-based quality audits within regulated or high-reliability sectors (Aerospace AS9100, Defense NADCAP, or Medical Devices ISO 13485).
