Supplier Quality Engineer

We’re partnering with a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier that is looking to add a Supplier Quality Engineer to their team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work closely with both internal teams and global suppliers to drive quality performance, support new product launches, and ensure world-class manufacturing standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

\n

\n
• Lead supplier quality performance initiatives , including tracking and improving key KPIs
\n
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, etc.) with suppliers to ensure long-term solutions
\n
• Review and approve PPAP submissions , ensuring compliance with customer and internal requirements
\n
• Partner with suppliers and internal teams to manage process changes and continuous improvement efforts
\n
• Support new product launches , ensuring purchased components meet all quality expectations from day one
\n
• Ensure suppliers meet all customer-specific requirements and IATF 16949 standards
\n
• Own and manage nonconforming material processes , including “Hold for Inspection” items
\n
• Lead or support cross-functional problem-solving and quality improvement projects
\n
• Conduct audits, inspections, and provide guidance/training to internal teams and suppliers as needed
\n
• Drive cost recovery efforts related to supplier quality issues
\n

What You Bring

\n

\n
• 3–5+ years of Supplier or Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
\n
• Automotive Tier 1 experience REQUIRED
\n
• Strong knowledge of:
\n
• IATF 16949
\n
• PPAP / APQP / Core Quality Tools
\n
• Experience working directly with suppliers and managing performance issues
\n
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
\n
• Ability to lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions across organizations
\n
