Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

Located just minutes from the beaches of the Jersey Shore, VCA Bayview Animal Hospital is a 3 doctor general practice offering wellness and sick care, digital radiography including dental x-rays, surgery, FAST ultrasound, in house bloodwork, and hospitalization. We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team full time. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care-with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen

• Compassionate patient care

• Maintaining medical records.

• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A positive, encouraging and supportive attitude

• Excellent communication skills

• Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays

• Customer service skills

• Working knowledge of computers

• Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant

• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments

The pay range for this position is $18-$25/hr
