Account Manager - Public Sector Plus

Position Overview The Account Manager is responsible for leading clients through the entire sales process — from initial discovery and budgeting through specification, ordering, installation, and post-project support. This role requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. We’re also looking for someone eager to grow into leadership and eventually help guide and develop a team. Key Responsibilities Establish and manage individual sales goals Oversee the full sales cycle from initial client interview through project implementation Identify and develop prospects and new business opportunities Provide preliminary budget guidance and early-phase presentations Partner with internal design teams and manufacturers to define full project scope Accurately quote and manage all project-related costs (product, freight, installation, etc.) Anticipate specification risks (e.g., outdoor durability, healthcare textile standards, environmental factors) Build and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships Identify up‑sell and cross‑sell opportunities Maintain consistent, timely communication with clients and internal teams Continuously learn new product lines, features, and services Deliver professional after‑sales support Resolve issues collaboratively with design, project management, and installation teams to ensure client success Qualifications 3+ years of sales experience Positive, professional, and personable attitude Meticulous attention to detail and desire to deliver outstanding results for clients Strong reading comprehension.
