We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Rehabilitation to join our team at Skilled Nursing Facility in Newark, NJ. As a Director of Rehabilitation, you will be responsible for overseeing the rehabilitation department and ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care and treatment. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department, including the management of rehabilitation staff, therapy modalities, and equipment
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Manage and coordinate the rehabilitation services provided to patients, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing rehabilitation services
• Develop and maintain relationships with referring physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers to ensure a smooth transition of care for patients
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and department efficiency
• Collaborate with the administration to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the mission and goals of the organization

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New Jersey
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting, with at least 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
