Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry
Schedule: Self-scheduling. Ratios: 1:5 days / nights / weekends. Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period.
Assignment Details: Contract length: not specified. Guaranteed hours: not specified.
Requirements: RN license: GA or Compact license required at time of submission. Required: BLS, ACLS. Minimum: 1 year RN experience (1st-time travelers accepted). Preferred: Prior charge experience.
Roles & Responsibilities: Monitor patients in a cardiac telemetry setting, interpreting dysrhythmias accurately. Provide post-MI and pre/post cardiac cath/surgery care for adult and geriatric patients. Manage cardiac drips and vasoactive drips (no titration). Administer peritoneal dialysis and provide pre/post hemodialysis care. Care for central/PICC/peripheral lines, including post-cath care. Support non-invasive airway procedures, tracheostomy care, and oxygen therapy.
Compliance / Notes: Orientation: 24 hours indicated; Non-billable orientation hours vary by contract length. Max 7 days Return-to-Work (RTO); limited holiday RTO per facility policy. Vaccines: Flu required (medical/religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required.
