Key Responsibilities of the MRI Technologist

• Perform MRI procedures, adhering to safety protocols and understanding MRI safety
• Set up suction and operate O2 equipment
• Handle critical and vented patients with support from ICU RNs and RTs
• Administer contrast and place patients on MR tele as necessary
• Implement IV skills if working during the day shift
• Employ critical thinking skills and maintain punctuality

Requirements of the MRI Technologist

• Valid BLS and ARRT-MR certifications
• At least 1 year of MRI experience
• Proficiency in handling a range of patient diagnoses
