SUMMARY:

Provide high-quality support to individuals with disabilities participating in a community-based employment program by supervising their daily work activities and monitoring their progress toward established goals. Ensure accurate documentation of services provided and maintain records through light administrative tasks to uphold program standards and participant success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Oversee the I-10 Welcome Station, supervision, and training of workers with developmental disabilities in alignment with agency policies, safety standards, and requirements of APD, RESPECT of Florida, and other applicable authorities. Complete all required documentation related to APD-funded service delivery.
• Supervise staff by assigning duties, scheduling shifts, and ensuring 24/7 facility coverage year-round. Manage personnel in accordance with agency policies.
• Assist the CBE Director with preparing the annual budget, overseeing operations for and supporting management of the I-10 Welcome Station.
• Ensure full compliance with DOT, RESPECT of Florida, and other monitoring authorities for Rest Area maintenance contracts, meeting all quality standards. Serve as the primary customer service liaison with ICA.
• Schedule, direct, and evaluate afternoon attendant staff to meet janitorial service needs at the I-10 Welcome Station.
• Manage ordering, inventory, cost control, and usage of cleaning, paper, and related janitorial supplies and equipment.
• Monitor facilities and equipment for safety and proper operation. Conduct and schedule required inspections, fulfill agency responsibilities, and report ICA facility issues to ICA.
• Assist the CBE Director in collecting and analyzing data for the Welcome Station budget, management outcomes reporting, and RESPECT certification. Complete additional documentation tasks as assigned.
• Remain available for on-call emergencies 24/7 except during approved leave.
• Operate agency vehicles to transport clients in accordance with transportation policies and documentation requirements.
• Support the maintenance of client files and documentation in compliance with all applicable policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise program staff and direct the training and day-to-day oversight of attendants with developmental disabilities. Recruit, train, and evaluate employees to ensure high-quality service delivery. Coordinate staff scheduling and work assignments to support efficient and effective program operations.

• Must be able to pass Level 2 fingerprint background check, ( Dept. of Children and Families abuse registry check, and local law enforcement check, Affidavit of Good Moral Character.
• Must pass a drug screen
• Must be 21 years of age, have valid driver's license, a good driving record and proof of vehicle insurance and registration with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Providers of supported employment services:

· Must have a High school diploma or GED

AND must meet one or more of the following requirement s:

· Bachelor’s degree in education, rehabilitative science, business, or a related field from an accredited institution

· OR One year of college coursework plus three years of documented direct experience in the field

· OR Four years of direct professional experience with individuals with developmental disabilities may substitute for college on a year-for-year basis

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from persons served, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and article for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and board of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :

• Must be able to achieve a CPR and Supported Employment Coach Certification within 60 days of employment.
• Successful completion of Core Competencies, Zero Tolerance, HIV, and HIPAA certifications will be required. (This training is provided by the agency).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions. The noise level in work environment is usually moderate.

Beginning Salary : $18.00/Hour

Status : Non-Exempt/Hourly

Working Hours : Minimum of 40 hours per week, generally consistent with working Monday – Thursday from 7:00am – 5:00pm. Must be flexible in working any additional hours/days based on business needs.
