OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and evolve strategies across traditional Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and emerging Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), helping clients gain visibility across search engines, AI-powered search, and answer platforms. Stay ahead of changing search behaviors and translate them into scalable strategies.
• Drive measurable results across client campaigns on Google Search and emerging AI-powered search and answer platforms.
• Dedicate significant time to hands-on experimentation, innovation, and testing to identify opportunities that improve client performance and results.
• Develop hypotheses, run experiments, analyze outcomes, and turn successful findings into repeatable strategies and playbooks across SEO, AEO, content, technical SEO, and AI-driven search.
• Identify and test practical applications of AI and emerging technologies within SEO and AEO. Evaluate new tools and approaches based on measurable results and their potential to improve performance, efficiency, scalability, and client outcomes.
• Create successful strategies, experiments, and industry developments into practical training, documentation, and resources for SEO Specialists, Sales, Client Services, and other teams across the organization.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary SEO and AEO Strategy of approximately 15 across content, links, strategy, and analytics. Coach team members and foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, continuous learning, and measurable improvement.
• Use analytics and performance data to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and guide strategic decisions. Turn successful experiments into scalable processes that can be implemented across a diverse client base.
• Partner closely with Sales, Client Services, Design, Fulfillment, Development, and other leaders to translate SEO and AEO strategies into effective execution and keep teams aligned as search evolves.

COMPETENCIES & RESPONSIBILIIES

• Deep understanding of traditional SEO, including local, organic, technical, content, and authority-building strategies, along with AEO, AI-powered search, and evolving search behavior.
• Demonstrated ability to develop hypotheses, run structured experiments, analyze results, and use findings to improve performance and test new strategies.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance high-level strategy, experimentation, data analysis, problem-solving, and team leadership.
• Strong command of analytics and SEO platforms such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Moz, with the ability to turn data into actionable strategies.
• Strong understanding of how AI and emerging technologies are changing search and digital marketing, with the ability to evaluate and apply new tools strategically.
• Ability to turn complex concepts, experiments, and technical findings into clear training, documentation, and playbooks for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to turn successful tests and strategies into scalable processes across teams and a broad client portfolio.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, develop talent, establish accountability, and collaborate across SEO, Sales, Client Services, Development, and other functions.
