The Accounting Manager carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: budgeting, rate development, financial reporting, and auditing.Key Responsibilities:Lead the accounting close by preparing monthly financial statements and ensuring journal entries are created. The goal is to generate accurate accounting records, completing them in a timely manner.Lead the development of the annual Operating and Capital Budgets to meet the organization’s financial goals.Educate management and provide direction on as needed basis to include, but not limited to, explanation of budget variances and proper accounting treatment.Supervise the Payroll function.Direct, supervise and evaluate select Accounting & Payroll Staff and teams to meet organizational and staff needs.Develop rates for payment relating to various services of the organization including, but not limited to, Client Care and Supervision, and Room & Board.In collaboration with the finance team, continue to assess software needs, organization alignment and efficiency findings, as well as understanding the services the finance offers to better ensure their adequate delivery to our team.Maintain the General Ledger and related Reports including, but not limited to, the Chart of Accounts and F9 reports.Prepare ad-hoc financial reports at the request of Executive Leadership.Interpret the results of complex financial analyses, develop conclusions, and make recommendations.Manage the Annual Financial Audit to ensure accuracy and compliance.Other duties as assigned.General Employment Conduct & ResponsibilitiesPromote and encourage the organization’s mission, vision, values, and philosophy.Adhere to the organization’s code of conduct, standards, policies, and procedures.Maintain and promote a professional image within the organization.Appropriately bring to management’s attention actual or potential violations of Clarity Care’s code of conduct, standards, policies, and/or procedures.Act as a team member within the department and organization to assist in accomplishing goals and objectives.Attendance on the job, continuous education, training and meetings as scheduled.Cooperate with supervisors and all members involved in evaluating and improving performance.Exercise good judgment, decision making, and regard for safety within all aspects of performing the job duties of a manager.Demonstrate ability to communicate, understand, give, read, and/or follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instruction.Demonstrate ability to request and extend assistance, learn, be a team player, prioritize tasks, independently assess situations, problem-solve, multi-task in many environments, and appropriately respond to challenges.Posses’ physical aptitudes and capabilities that will enable performance of the essential functions of the job including ability to stoop, stand, pull, push, hear, see, kneel, walk, grasp, reach, talk, and lift at least 30 pounds.Continue to improve processes and fulfill other outcomes to meet organizational goals.Ability to work in accordance with the direction and supervision of a variety of individuals including Executive team.RequirementsGraduate of an accredited College of Business with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, CMA/CPA certification preferred.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting and specific experience with developing Operating and Capital Budget, preparing and analyzing various financial statements/reports.Thorough knowledge of general business administration practices and related supervisory experience.Posses advanced computer skills to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Word & Excel, Internet, and Outlook e-mail.Knowledge of General Ledger applications, experience with NetSuite preferred.Must possess a valid WI driver’s license, and ability to meet agency driving standards.
