Sales Account Manager

About the Role This position is designed for someone who understands industrial products, OEM customers, and technical sales environments. The Account Manager will develop strong customer relationships, uncover growth opportunities, coordinate internally to meet customer needs, and maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales process. This is an in-house, onsite position serving customers by phone, email, virtual meetings, and occasional in-person visits. Responsibilities Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of industrial and OEM customer accounts Build relationships with purchasing professionals, engineers, operations leaders, maintenance teams, and other decision-makers Learn each customer’s equipment, applications, purchasing patterns, and operational needs Identify opportunities to expand product usage, applications, and sales volume Protect existing business through proactive communication and consistent account engagement Identify customer risks and take action before an account is lost Follow up on quotes, open opportunities, customer requests, and inactive accounts Convert qualified leads into active, revenue-generating customers Maintain an accurate pipeline, customer history, and account activity in the CRM Review account performance and develop plans for retention and growth Partner with Customer Service, Senior Account Managers, Business Development, and internal operational teams Communicate customer requirements, concerns, risks, and opportunities clearly Provide a responsive, solutions-oriented customer experience Qualifications Previous account-management experience within an industrial, manufacturing, distribution, or OEM environment Demonstrated success retaining and growing existing B2B customer accounts Experience selling or supporting technical, mechanical, engineered, or industrial products Ability to understand product applications and communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical contacts Strong relationship-building, follow-up, and problem-solving skills Experience managing quotes, opportunities, pipelines, and account activity through a CRM Ability to analyze account performance and identify practical growth opportunities Strong written, verbal, organizational, and time-management skills A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and work across departments Preferred Skills Experience working with casters, wheels, material-handling products, industrial components, or related equipment Experience working with manufacturers, distributors, engineers, purchasing teams, or plant operations #J-18808-Ljbffr CasterDepot®
