Restaurant HostSeasonal | Part-Time / Full-Time | Food & BeveragePosition SummaryThe Host at Tenney is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience by warmly welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. As the first point of contact, you will set the tone for a friendly, relaxed dining experience in a fast-paced mountain environment.This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while providing outstanding guest service during busy periods.What You'll DoWarmly welcome and greet guests as they enter the restaurant.Manage seating arrangements based on reservations, walk-ins, and guest preferences.Use the reservation system to manage and confirm bookings and coordinate seating.Accurately estimate wait times and keep guests informed about table availability.Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to keep service running smoothly.Assist guests with coats, bags, or ski equipment when needed and ensure belongings are handled appropriately.Keep the host station, entrance, lobby, and guest areas clean and organized.Monitor guest restrooms and communicate cleaning or maintenance needs.Answer guest questions about the resort, including restaurant specials, lift hours, amenities, and other activities.Address guest questions or concerns professionally and involve management when needed.Follow all resort health, safety, and guest service standards.Assist the restaurant team with additional front-of-house duties as needed, including resetting tables, light bussing, running food, and supporting the team during busy periods.Support retail sales during restaurant hours as needed, including assisting guests and processing transactions through the POS system.What We're Looking ForFriendly, welcoming, and comfortable interacting with guests.Strong communication and customer service skills.Organized and attentive to detail.Able to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment.Reliable and willing to work as part of a team.Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required.Comfortable working in a mountain environment.Available to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts during the ski season.The Right FitWe're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, brings a positive attitude to every shift, and takes pride in creating a great guest experience.
