Description:

We are looking for an office administrator to complete administrative tasks and provide support for our sales and management staff.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, confident, and poised, and enjoy interacting with people. This role works closely with our sales staff and branch management.

This is a Salary position.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Scan and organize mill certs
  • Check incoming vendor invoices for discrepancies
  • Match vendor invoices with bills of lading to prepare for receiving into the system
  • Ensure incoming paperwork is processed in a timely manner
  • Invoice shipped customer orders and transfers
  • Assist with answering incoming phone calls
  • Ensure truck fuel receipts are separated by truck, and mileage is recorded on each receipt
  • Ensure Big Road e-logging is being done consistently by each driver
  • Process credit card payments from customers
  • Provide administrative support, including general document filing
  • Assist with HR-related tasks, such as assisting with onboarding and gathering personnel paperwork as requested.
  • Order supplies when needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and reliable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The ability to alternate between sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in office administration
