Summary/Objective
The assembler is responsible for the assembly of RENK products where procedures and methods are prescribed.

Essential Functions

1. Performs processes to complete assemblies and subassemblies from drawings and/or written specifications, using hand tools and power tools.

2. Operates fork lift as required.

3. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.

4. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

5. Responsible for quality checks of completed assemblies.

6. May be required to pick and pack orders for spare parts as specified.

7. Completes other tasks as assigned.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is also regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and move up to 60 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for a total of forty (40) hours.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or GED.

2. Two years’ assembly experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Ability to read and understand blueprints.

2. Prefer experience with hand tools.

3. Prefer experience with material handling.

4. Prefer experience with shipping/receiving.
