Make a meaningful impact in middle school education as a Special Education Teacher, leading a self-contained classroom and primarily teaching math. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current LBS1 Certification required
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Previous experience teaching in a special education setting, preferably middle school
• Strong knowledge of math instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to develop and modify IEPs to meet individual student needs
• Collaborative team player with a positive, proactive approach
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, stimulating learning atmosphere

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver math instruction to students in a self-contained classroom, focusing on individualized supports
• Design, implement, and evaluate lesson plans to address a range of learning abilities
• Develop and manage IEPs, tracking student progress and updating goals as needed
• Foster a caring environment that supports each student’s social, emotional, and academic growth
• Collaborate with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, and families to support student success
• Participate in team meetings, staff development opportunities, and school events
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians on student progress and classroom activities
