Software Development Engineer III, Amazon Leo Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Builder Operations, systems and services team is responsible for developer experience, CICD and production services. We are looking for engineers with experience in designing backend services, five 9 service availability and metrics, with advanced knowledge of AWS cloud services infrastructure such as IAM, Lambdas, Cloud watch, API gateways etc. Proficiency in atleast one of TypeScript/Python/GoLang is an added advantage. The candidate would participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations. You will participate in the design, integration and improvement of the software. This includes designing and implementing a wide range of software using AWS stack, sometimes requiring partnership with low level embedded code software systems and architecting scalable design solutions for software distribution and deployment for satellites. You must be about to disambiguate high level of ambiguity and unknowns, design flexible solutions and able to succeed within an open, collaborative environment. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
