Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Driver Pay Rate: $20.86 / Hour Must be 21+ years old - Weekly Pay Must have a valid drivers license Job Schedule: Wed 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, control rooms, and other sensitive locations. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting security‑related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel as needed. Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records, issue temporary credentials when authorized, and communicate access requirements in a professional manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and report maintenance, hazard, and/or security‑related issues. Minimum Requirements An armed guard card and/or license is required. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
