We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef for a high-volume, upscale restaurant in Charlotte. This is an opportunity to join a growing restaurant group with a strong scratch-kitchen culture, an elevated food and beverage program, and excellent opportunities for continued development.
What You'll Do- Lead daily BOH execution in a high-volume scratch kitchen
- Maintain strong standards for food quality, consistency and presentation
- Coach, train and develop culinary team members
- Manage ordering, inventory, pars and waste
- Support food and labor cost goals
- Assist with BOH scheduling and staffing
- Maintain strong sanitation, food safety and kitchen organization
- Partner closely with the Executive Chef and FOH leadership
- Lead calmly and effectively through high-volume services
- Recent Sous Chef experience in upscale, polished casual or fine dining
- Experience in a high-volume, scratch-kitchen environment ,
- Stable and progressive work history
- Strong knowledge of food cost, labor, inventory, ordering and waste control
- Proven ability to train and develop kitchen teams
- Hands-on leadership style with high standards and strong follow-through
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment
- Culinary school or formal culinary training is a plus
- Ability to complete up to 10 weeks of out-of-market training
