Position Overview
Investment Directors oversee strategic investment initiatives, capital deployment, and portfolio performance . These roles involve leading deal sourcing, evaluation, and execution , collaborating with senior leadership, investment committees, and portfolio companies to ensure long-term fund growth and performance.
Investment Directors also guide and mentor investment teams , influence fund strategy, and provide key insights to optimize capital allocation and risk management.
These roles often involve cross-functional collaboration with finance, operations, risk, and strategy teams , with a focus on driving high-impact investment decisions and strategic portfolio outcomes .
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities across private and public markets
- Lead financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis for complex transactions
- Direct and coordinate due diligence efforts across financial, operational, market, and strategic dimensions
- Conduct industry research, competitive benchmarking, and market mapping
- Oversee portfolio construction, capital deployment, and risk management strategies
- Prepare investment memoranda, reports, and presentations for senior leadership and investment committees
- Mentor and guide junior investment professionals to strengthen deal execution and portfolio oversight capabilities
- Maintain and develop relationships with co-investors, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Deep understanding of financial analysis, valuation, portfolio management, and investment strategy concepts
- Proven experience in private equity, venture capital, asset management, investment banking, or corporate development (preferred but not required)
- Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and strategic problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Interest in markets, investing, and long-term fund strategy
