Job Overview:
We are hiring an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment at in Utica, NY. This is a high-acuity, fast-paced ED with a diverse patient population and advanced equipment.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Duration: 13 Weeks 
• Shift: 12-Hour Evening Shift
• Hours: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• On-Call: Not Required

Unit Details:

• Department: Emergency Department (64 Beds)
• Patient Population: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatric
• Common Cases: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
• Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun
• Additional Areas: Triage, Trauma, CDU, Psych

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency care in a high-volume ED setting
• Perform triage, assessments, and rapid interventions
• Administer critical medications including pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, sedation, and anticoagulants
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation
• Float to other units as needed
• Take on charge responsibilities when required (preferred)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of ED RN experience (with pediatric exposure)
• Travel ED experience REQUIRED
• Active New York RN License
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • TNCC (REQUIRED)
• Epic EMR experience REQUIRED
• Must include RTO (Requested Time Off) at submission
• Valid driver’s license with matching address
