Maintenance Technician

Job Overview Maintenance Technician at Air Liquide Advanced Materials, Mount Bethel, PA. Key Responsibilities Installation and modification of chemical processing equipment, and repair and troubleshooting of auxiliary equipment. Assist in promoting safety and organization in the maintenance department. Review and update work instructions continually. Recommend preventative maintenance intervals based on repair data. Execute the Preventative Maintenance Program and Monitor and Measure Devices Program. Specialize in engineering improvement construction projects, ensuring well‑defined scope and schedule reviewed by all affected parties. Recommend spare parts inventory levels. Write purchase requisitions for needed parts. Perform all component rebuilds and calibrations. Understand and follow the process flow within chemical processing equipment. Perform valid leak checks. Follow all work instructions and safety protocols. Organize and sort information using computer software. Complete all assigned training. Maintain a clean‑shaven appearance at all times. Wear a full‑face respirator and applicable protective gear such as LevelA suits, SCBA, or SAR. Roll cylinders up to 200lb by tilting with one hand and rolling with the other. Fit for duty: lift 50lb and climb ladders. Actively participate in ALAM Emergency Response team as an entry team member. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 3+ years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in the chemical industry or related fluid systems. Knowledge of gas (pressure) system component theory and operation. Medical clearance to pass respiratory and physical tests required for full‑face respirator use. Fit for duty: ability to lift 50lb and climb ladders. Ability to roll cylinders up to 200lb. Capability to read and construct from a P&ID or engineering drawing. Basic electronic, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills. General maintenance skills. Tube‑bending skills. Effective communication skills. Experience or certification in emergency response is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of vacuum system component theory and operation. Previous emergency response experience or certification. Benefits Pay: $29.52 per hour. Annual bonus: 6%. Travel allowance: 0–5% based on business needs. Work schedule: Monday–Friday 7am–3pm with on‑call duties.
