Patient Access Representative

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Evening Shift Description: The Patient Access Representative greets patients/family members and obtains and/or verifies demographic, clinical, financial and insurance information in the process of registering patients for service delivery, including the entry of patient/guarantor information in the patient accounting system, collection of patient signatures on all appropriate forms and the imaging/copying of registration documents. Obtains and processes signed physician orders, conducts online insurance eligibility/benefit verification on designated cases, notifies patient/guarantor and collects patient liabilities, and refers appropriate cases to financial counseling for follow-up and consultation. May provide escort and directional support to patients, family members and visitors. Status: Part Time Week 1: Monday 3p-11:30p, Saturday 3p-11p Week 2: Sunday 3p-11p, Thursday 3p-11:30p, Friday 3p-11:30p Training: The first two weeks of training are M-F, 8a-430pm must be able to attend this* Location : Onsite, Byron Center Campus Minimum Qualifications: 1 year customer service experience, required HS Diploma or equivalent HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire. Synthesizes & analyzes data & provides detailed summaries including graphical data presentations illustrating trends & recommending practical options or solutions while considering the impact on business strategy & supporting leadership decision making. Leverages program & operational data & measurements to define & demonstrate progress, ROI & impacts.
